Omega NATO straps are incredibly expensive. $160 MSRP for a piece of fabric and a few stainless steel buckles. It’s insane. But wow, they are incredibly good quality, designed well and look fantastic.

UPDATE APRIL 2018: I traded this watch in April 2018 for another Omega – the Planet Ocean Deep Black Red (215.92.46.22.01.003). There were some things I really liked about this watch: The new bracelet quick-adjust feature (which I wrote about here). the bi-color ceramic bezel, the METAS certification of the awesome 8906 movement. But the watch was not getting a lot of wrist time.

Review: Omega X-33 Skywalker (Gen3) Solar Impulse Limited Edition
I’ll admit it. It took me a while to appreciate quartz watches, especially ones that take batteries. I have a few Citizen Eco-Drives, a few Seiko Solars, a Seiko Kinetic, some Casio Solars and the Breitling B-50. But this is the only quartz in my collection that takes a battery (the Breitling B-50 is rechargeable).
